Reiki healing balances and releases emotional blockages, often resulting in tears or laughter during sessions. Reiki practitioners often use this form of energy healing to calm and rebalance the nervous system in traumatized patients. It is commonly used to treat a variety of physical ailments, such as headaches, migraines, sinus problems, frequent colds, flu, coughs, back pain, cystitis, stomach aches, infections, joint pain and inflammation throughout the body. Reiki restores a natural balance and supports the body’s ability to heal itself. The practitioner identifies problem areas and releases these blockages to restore balance to the body preventing illnesses. Reiki works to heal by repairing the disrupted flow and strengthening one’s immune system, while cleansing the body of toxins. How is Reiki used for physical and emotional healing? It was discovered that the frequency of energy was significantly higher when this healing energy was applied. Tests were then carried out on people before and after receiving Reiki treatments. In 1961, the Russian scientist Semyon Kirlian developed a machine to make this “unseen energy” visible by taking a photograph of it. Science has now proven that an invisible energy flows through and connects all living things.

Since Einstein and the discovery of quantum physics, it has been known that everything that exists is energy: “Energy is all there is” The only difference is that physical matter (such as a table, chair, or car) and unseen energy (sound, light, radio waves or radiation) vibrate at different frequencies and rates. When the healthy flow of Ki is disrupted, it causes diminished functioning within one or more of the organs and tissues of the physical body, eventually leading to illness. This energy is often referred to as a person’s “aura”. Every living being has life energy (Ki) flowing throughout their organs and tissues. Reiki is a Japanese technique utilized for stress reduction & relaxation that also promotes physical and emotional energetic healing.
